Good but not not nearly “sour” enough for my tastes.
Thank you for your purchase and support of our bakery. Sourdough is really the wrong name for this type of bread as it is not about the flavor but it is about the method. The better name is 'Naturally leavened bread' and in that case, sourness would not be a goal.
Our bread is naturally leavened and our goal is for it not to be sour. If a bread is sour it typically means one of two things: either it over-proofed (over fermented) or vinegar was added to it. Sometimes (although not often at all) we might overproof the dough incidentally but we never add vinegar. Thank you for your understanding.
I ordered multiple types of loaves. I love them all.
Feedback would be as follows: a white bread version. I would purchase that in addition to the types that I have purchased. Thank you, really happy to be able to get a good sourdough bread fresh.
